Square Changes Final Fantasy Character To Show Less Butt

Square Changes Final Fantasy Character To Show Less Butt

Mobius Final Fantasy, an upcoming 3D mobile game that for now has only been announced in Japan, has some ridiculous outfits even by Final Fantasy standards, but at least one of them was a bit too ridiculous for Square Enix.

Above (via Hachima) is Wal, the hero of Mobius (formerly named Mevius), whose butt and side-abs have been covered up because I dunno maybe it gets cold fighting goblins and behemoths all day? In a presentation for the game on Friday, the designers talked about how Wal (whose name can be changed by players) was a little too sexy, which might come as sad news for anyone who likes their RPGs to be full of male eye-candy.

Don’t worry—homeboy still looks ridiculous. Just maybe not as ridiculous.

PAC-MAN on the loose! Check your Google Maps!

A surprise Pac-Man attack on Google Maps is now activated! Log in to your google account and go to maps right now, your maps can turn into Pac-Man’s game board!

Just click a location, click the PAC-MAN icon in the bottom left corner of the screen, and it will either go straight into game mode or tell you “there aren’t enough streets”. Pan and zoom around a bit though and you can find somewhere suitable; or, click “I’m Feeling Lucky” and let Google direct you.

PAC-MAN wasn't feeling up to an adventure around The Age offices in Melbourne.

For mobile, Google has provided a list of clues as to where Pac-Man might be hiding.

For instance: “PAC-MAN and Ms. PAC-MAN can’t agree on which side is prettier: the American or the Canadian. Which side do you fall on, eh?”

Google said more clues as to the best places to play would be up “soon”, but warned pac-fans to “eat the pac-dots fast, because this game will only be around for a little while”.

Isn’t it very cool to have this for April Fools Day? Thank you Google! Happy April Fools Day Everyone!
